Hi everyone! I apologise for the lack of posts recently but I had two essays due in for the taught component of my masters so I’ve been a bit busy getting those done! Hopefully you’ve seen me around on Twitter though – unfortunately I wasn’t able to resist the lures of scrolling through my Twitter feed!
So the taught component of my masters is over, and now I have until October (or January if I take the free extension) to do my dissertation. I will let you know how I get on with that with updates from time to time. Would anyone who’s considering doing a masters after their undergraduate degree like to see a post about the differences?
I have a couple of events and products that I want to blog about this week, so there will be lots of lovely new posts to sink your teeth in to. I’ve also got a giveaway coming up so if you’re going on holiday this year you might want to keep an eye out for that!
I’ve got a really good couple of months ahead of me, lots of events planned and things! Tomorrow I’m hosting a Macmillan Night In with my mum, which a few companies have kindly donated gifts for so I will be doing a post on that and letting you know how much we raise! The aim is £100 but hopefully we will get more!
I’m headed to an event by Oriflame on Saturday in Leeds, I haven’t travelled to Leeds by train before so I’m slightly nervous but I’m sure I will be fine! I will be there again at the end of May too for the Leeds May Meet, as well as an event called House of Fashion. I’ve also got a Pandora eventand a Laundry Boutique event in my calender, I love having a packed diary!
Finally, my dad and my stepmum have finally adopted two lovely girls who I am enjoying getting to know, one of them has her birthday on Tuesday so I’m excited to spend it with them. I am thinking of doing a post on adoption from a siblings point of view!
Sorry for the long winded post with no pictures but I wanted to let you know what I had going on recently and coming up, I’ve missed blogging! What has been going on in your life?
I thought I would do a post today on a few things I have been loving lately which have one thing in common… The word pop!
I apologise for the lack of book related post yesterday! I had it all written up but forgot to schedule it… Oops! Here it is now for you though.
Lectures for my masters finished last week, and I had missed a few down to health problems. This had meant the past few weeks I’ve been concentrating on writing up lecture notes and getting prepared for assignments, in the times I would usually spend reading. So instead of a book review today I thought I’d show you the books which are on my reading list at the minute!
I meant to get this post out on Wednesday but life just seems to get in the way at the minute! We’re only 5 days in to April though so I’m not too late eh? These are some of the things that I have been loving in the month of March!
Sorry I haven’t posted all week, I’ve found it difficult whilst I’ve been on nights and I also went to two events, so I haven’t had time to actually sit down and write! The first event was one I attended on Tuesday, which JAMpr were kind enough to invite me to. As you might have already guessed from the picture, the event was held at Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester, who have just launched a new menu. This meant we got to try mini versions of the new items, as well as some delicious new cocktails! I’ve only eaten there once before so I was looking forward to discovering some new favourites which I can drag my boyfriend along for!
This post is so-named because it’s a bit of a mixture of last week and this week. Last week I had a post planned for every day, however I lost motivation half way through the week, due to work and feeling quite down. So I apologise for that! Work has interfered with my life this week and I’ve got some minor health-related problems which have been getting me down, so I’ve been feeling a bit rubbish. But, I’ve got a busy week ahead of me so I am hoping I will feel more like myself this week!
Happy Monday everyone, hope your week has gotten off to a good start! I am hoping that the start of this week goes better for me than the start of last week did, however things are already looking a bit dreary!
