So the second event I went to last week was Lily Lulu’s charity press event at Barça Manchester, where they were fundraising for Cancer Research UK. I love that Lily Lulu took the chance to raise money for a worthwhile cause whilst also promoting their new S/S clothes. First of all, a mirror selfie of my outfit – I love this dress, I got it from New Look in January with some of my Christmas money. I love the colour, but I do think it creases super easily, which bugs me a bit!
Sorry I haven’t posted all week, I’ve found it difficult whilst I’ve been on nights and I also went to two events, so I haven’t had time to actually sit down and write! The first event was one I attended on Tuesday, which JAMpr were kind enough to invite me to. As you might have already guessed from the picture, the event was held at Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester, who have just launched a new menu. This meant we got to try mini versions of the new items, as well as some delicious new cocktails! I’ve only eaten there once before so I was looking forward to discovering some new favourites which I can drag my boyfriend along for!
This post is so-named because it’s a bit of a mixture of last week and this week. Last week I had a post planned for every day, however I lost motivation half way through the week, due to work and feeling quite down. So I apologise for that! Work has interfered with my life this week and I’ve got some minor health-related problems which have been getting me down, so I’ve been feeling a bit rubbish. But, I’ve got a busy week ahead of me so I am hoping I will feel more like myself this week!
On Thursday I received a lovely little package from MayBeauty, containing their new natural eyelash serum, MayLash*. MayLash was developed with all-natural ingredients as there has been a lot of controversy around the chemicals in other eyelash serums. They claim that your eyelashes will be longer and denser around 4 weeks after beginning to use the product. I’ve only been using it a few days so I can’t give an opinion on this either way, but I will do a full review of the product after a month of using it to let you know how I’ve been getting on!
Let me start by saying that I am not completely happy with these photos! This is my first attempt at outfit photos not taken by myself in the mirror. My lovely boyfriend took these for me, however I hate photos of me that I haven’t taken myself as I never think they are very flattering. I hope how lovely this dress is still comes across!
I loved being busy with blogging things this weekend, it was a lovely way of spending some of my days off!
I went to my first two blogger events this weekend, the first of which was hosted by FABB in Liverpool. The event was held in PanAm, a lovely bar on Albert Docks which I would love to go back to, as the food I spied from the balcony looked delicious!
